Bit of a weird week!

This is just a quick post - because I can't see to type properly at the moment! In the last week, what has been evening headaches and tiredness - which I put down to just being tired, has really intensified and so I headed off to the opticians "just in case". Turns out I do need glasses and with each day now the strain my eyes have been under gets more obvious and painful - so a break from the computer is in order! I should have the glasses soon - I hope so - because not being able to read is cruel punishment to me indeed.
I just want to quickly write a few things that have happened the past few days which I don't want to forget and then I'm signing off until I can see properly again! :)

Sophia lost her second middle top tooth on Monday. The 'Tooth Fairy' left a button with a special sparkle fairy on it, which was a sign that it's time to start The Seven Year Old Wonder Book with her - very exciting - now we just have to wait for mummy to be able to read again!

Elena has spent most of the week walking around with the harmonica in her hands and to her lips. Not long ago she was going around saying "woofoo, woofoo" and looking madly for something. It took me a little while to realise it was indeed the harmonica - which she calls the "woofoo" she was looking for. She loves it - and it's brilliant to take in the car because then I can tell she's still awake when she's in the back woofooing away!

We took a visit to the Penrith show last weekend, and Nico thought it was utterly amazing. Going to shows like that always makes me think of my childhood, as we spent almost every weekend as children taking our ponies to shows like that - doing cross country, show jumping and the like. Just seeing and smelling the horses made me feel all cosy - it's like one of those immediate triggers like Shirley Hughes story books, rainy Sunday afternoons playing with cousins, or The Antiques Roadshow theme tune, which just makes me feel all the warmth and love of being little, and I was immediately so grateful to my dad for taking the time every weekend to do those things with us after a busy working week, it made me wonder what the sights, sounds and smells will be that my children will link to childhood itself in years to come.

Right - that better be it, because words are beginning to dance around this page!

See you properly soon I hope! :) xx
